Help Provide a Seat at the Table!

Want to join us in making a difference? Dreamer & Co partners with a group of female artisans in the Horn of Africa. These women come from low-income, vulnerable communities and are seeking to make a better future for themselves and their families. At Dreamer & Co, we believe that everyone deserves to work in a safe, clean environment where they can build community, have fun, and feel known.

The nonprofit we partner with houses the artisans in their vocational training center. Due to the increased cost of living in the artisan's country, rent expenses are rising. The World Bank named their country in 2020 as the most expensive country in Africa, so rent, electricity, gas, and water are just as expensive as apartments in the States. In addition, we are growing at Dreamer & Co! Due to an increased demand for the product, the artisans have added three more women to their group. They no longer have a seat at the table (literally!) and are expanding into another room. With more artisans, their rent is increasing as well. To ensure the artisans can continue using that space, we have committed to paying for the artisan’s portion of the rent on the workspace.

We are seeking to raise $4,000 to help pay rent for the workspace for these hard-working, determined women. Without this workspace, these women would not be afforded the security of working in a safe and clean environment.
