Help feed children in Kenya

Hi, my name is Var and I’m currently in Nairobi, Kenya volunteering at Brightstar School. Im here with three amazing volunteers Molly, Jonathan and Jackson, and together we are trying to raise money to feed the children in this school.

The children here range from preschool age to grade 6. They are full of life—curious, kind, and always smiling. They have been the most welcoming children ever and they deserve the same opportunities as any other child.

Many of the children come to school on empty stomachs. For some, the lunch provided by the school is the only meal they’ll have all day. At home, there often isn’t any food or clean water. And yet, they show up each day ready to learn, to laugh, and to connect with us volunteers.

The teachers here are just as inspiring. Most of them come to work without knowing if they’ll even be paid, but they still show up—every single day—because they care deeply about these children and their futures.

These kids deserve the bare minimum—a meal, a safe environment, a chance to grow up healthy. That’s why I’m creating this fundraiser:

to help provide food for the children at Brightstar School.

Your donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward:

• Buying rice, beans, lentils, charcoal and cooking oil for school lunch's to ensure every child has a meal daily

• Supporting the incredible staff who keep this school running through pure love and dedication

Even a small amount can make a big difference, it makes the children better able to pay attention and the staff better suited to teach. This is a strong investment in Kenya’s future.
