Join us to renovate a state-of-the-art molecular laboratory at the A. Takhtajyan Institute of Botany National Academy of Sciences of Armenia to study fungi and lichens.
This equipment extracts and amplifies DNA from environmental samples collected from Armenia’s many unique ecosystems.

Molecular work enables Armenian researchers to identify, name, and describe new species of lichens and fungi, to carry out phylogenetic and ecological research on biological communities, and to support conservation efforts through scientific discovery.
