HELP PROVIDE PADS TO INCARCERATED HAITIAN WOMEN!

The Haitian Prison system is horrible in itself; however, it is straight-up inhuman for Haitian women. Indeed, in 2022, emprisoned Haitian Women are forced to go without primary and essential hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.
However, the most disturbing aspect of this issue is that in a female Prison where the government detains hundreds of women, it does not make it a priority to provide menstrual supplies like Pads and Tampons.
This situation is consistent with the government's sexist attitude towards Haitian women, as we are constantly told that we are the least of their concerns and left to fend for ourselves.
This year, Macaya Safe Haven wants to help provide these necessary items to these women, and we need your help. Our objective is to ship $1000 worth of menstrual and hygienic products to Haiti so that these women have enough to cover a couple of months while we look for a more permanent solution.
No woman should be made to feel like womanhood is a burden. As we get closer to March 8th, International Woman's Day, we want to make it clear that regardless of our circumstances, our stories deserve to be heard, our experiences, validated, and our well-being and safety, made a priority.
Help us to do just that by donating today!
