Help Ptolemy get to New Orleans

Hi, my name is Lesley. I started this fundraiser because my son needs your help! He has an opportunity to travel to New Orleans on a 3 day school trip and I am struggling to get him the funds to make it happen. Ptolemy is a junior in high school and he is as unique as they come! (I know, I’m biased). But Ptolemy is on the autism spectrum and he is proud to be neurodivergent! He has a passion for travel that he has just started to cultivate and as a single mom I am struggling to give him this opportunity on my own. I work full time as a Mental Health Counselor and I know the value that an experience like this could have for my child.

As many of you know, children on the autism spectrum can struggle with social nuances and Ptolemy is no different. He is a straight A student, he’s thoughtful, insightful, and kind. But new cultural and social experiences are vital to his development. He is so excited about this trip! Please consider a donation to help him attend this event and have a new and culturally relevant experience. His goal is to attend college for engineering when he graduates and I’d love to be able to give him, what to him, is the trip of a lifetime before the challenges of adult life kick in.
