Hi, my name is Mildred, and I'm 100 years old. I still have all my marbles. live on my own, manage all my affairs, including finances, play cards daily both in person and on my devices, and rarely miss a happy hour. Oh, and I'm still traveling the world.
Living over a century, I've seen and experienced a lot. My little sister died from pneumonia. If she had caught it after penicillin was developed, she would have lived.
I grew up in a time when families lived near each other, and weekends were spent socializing, playing, and eating together. I couldn't wait to hang out with my my cousins on Saturday nights.
Even though I lived during the Depression when there were financial hardships, I was never afraid of walking alone and taking trolleys and buses alone. The streets were safe.
I was born in 1923. We didn't have television, air conditioning, refrigerators, or dishwashers. I remember my mother telling my brother, "You can bring your friends for dinner, but they have to help with washing the dishes."
Because I was brought up in the Depression era, I learned how to manage money, how to sew, how to fix things, and how to survive and thrive.
In my upcoming book, "MILDRED'S MINDSET," you will learn more about me, and I will share 20 tips on longevity and living life to the fullest.
My daughter Gayle and I reached out to our fans on social media about this book, and they all encouraged us to self-publish it.
They know there is no time to waste if I'm going to be able to go on a book tour, meet our backers and fans, and sign your books.
With the clock ticking to make this happen, we need your help NOW.
We have decided to create this book in several formats: A hardcover, a softcover, an e-book, and an Audible version.
So many of our fans comment on how they love hearing me tell it as it is with my Brooklyn accent. I speak my mind - fearlessly and uncensored.
Every contribution, small or large, means a lot to us and will help us get this inspiring book into your hands.
We are forever grateful for your love and support.
If you are excited about my book, it would be an honor if you would share this opportunity with others.
