Help Puppy James with radiation treatments
Donation protected
Our 13 year old dachshund puppy James has been experiencing difficulties breathing. Over the last 6 months he has been in and out of different specialized vets trying to diagnose what was wrong with him. He would be constantly sneezing, with the occasional bits of blood that would accompany some sneezes. Then his breathing became increasingly more difficult for him to do. He would have difficulty sleeping at night and his situation was getting worse. Friends and family described it as if he seemed like he was drowning above water. We also noticed that he developed a head tremor/ head tick that would result in him constantly raising his head towards the ceiling.
After little James underwent a CT scan, we discovered that he had a large mass in his nasal cavity. The doctors did a biopsy and found that the mass was cancerous. Knowing that something had to be done, we got him setup with radiation treatments. The doctors are all very confident that despite his age, the tumor should *hopefully* shrink quickly and he can get back to breathing normally.
It's been a very draining week for little James, but at least now he has answers and has a plan of attack. We appreciate you reading this message and coming along with us on little Jamesy's journey!
