Help purchase a washing machine & roof for Sara

Hi,

My name is Sara. Although I am only 23, I have as many responsibilities, stress, anxiety and heartache as someone would in their 50s.

I currently live with my parents in a house that is falling apart. Floors are sinking, the ceiling is caving, and power and heat fluctuate.

I am currently studying and working 2 part-time jobs, which leaves me extremely tired and overworked. My parents also work full time.

 

But this is still not enough.

 

The past few months have felt like hell. I have an autistic brother who is lovely and adorable, but he does come with challenges. My father has had to stop working as he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and it is in the later stages. Gas prices have skyrocketed, and my mother is extremely sick and taking a bit of time off work.

Our washing machine broke yesterday, and I thought I might as well try GoFundMe. For the past 15 years, we have jumped from 2nd, 3rd and even 4th-hand washing machines and dryers to keep us going. However, this can not go on. Just worrying every morning about when the machines will break, what that funny noise is, and why our clothes are still sopping wet has caused me to lose sleep, hair and weight.

 

My family and I would appreciate any type of help we can get for this. One tip I live by is "You won't know until you ask." So this is me asking.

Update 1:

I am so grateful for all the donations, kind words and emails I have received from everyone in helping us reach our goal. I have decided to actually go with the good tides and up my goal to £2,500. This will hopefully allow us to partially cover the need to fix the caving roof.
