Help put a roof over Trust’s head
Donation protected
17 months ago I, as Junior Convenor at Strathmore Golf Club, was asked to help a promising young Zimbabwean golfer called Trust who had outgrown his clubs. We sent over a set which he was delighted with. On the 17/3/19 Cyclone Idai washed him, his hut and his cherished clubs away. He survived but suffered horrific injuries and we raised over £1,000 for urgent surgery and medical treatment. His recovery and determination has been amazing and this week he played in the Zimbabwe Junior Championship. Led the stroke play after 18 holes, on day 2 scored his first sub par round and qualified for the match play where he finished 7th, this whilst living and sleeping in a tent. We would love to replace his hut and give him someplace safe and secure to call his own as he has nothing. Jane the lady who looks after the educational and sporting needs of the Chimanimani children is visiting Scotland late January and it would be great to be able to give her the funds to enable this to happen. He is very grateful for the help he has already received and having someplace to call his own would mean the world to him. Every little helps.
