My sister was born the same day as me, December 29, 1987.

Bern was my favorite and closest best friend I had. We were inseparable in every sense of the word. As an adolescent, she was quite the athlete. You could always find her spending her free time at the courts, shooting hoops. She wasn't your typical girl. She was just as tough as the boys, if not more so! If you got to know her more, you would soon realize she had a huge heart. She was a great listener with the best advice. Bern always knew how to have a good time. She was great at cheering others up, and her smile was contagious. One look, and it would have you locked in. She was a daughter, a sister, a beloved aunt, niece, and friend to many. Unfourtantly, Bern lost her battle with the deadly disease of addiction. It was not something we were prepared for. We ask anyone who may assist even the slightest amount in giving Bern the service she deserves to please step forward. Bern will be greatly missed by many.
