Help put Max to rest

Donation protected
On behalf of the Henao family, we would like to thank all of our family and friends for their prayers and condolences.  Our father, Max Henao, was the strongest man we have ever known and a true inspiration to us all.  He endured more struggles than anyone should ever have to, took every obstacle in stride and overcame each one with his undying strength and positive attitude.  He was truly an inspiration to us all.  He has lived through more than 9 lives, battling health limitations from diabetes, heart problems, and lung cancer.  As his organs started to fail him, he had to be on dialysis 3 days a week for 4 hours each day for the past 7 years.  Hoping for the organ transplants that were necessary for him to go on, he went onto an organ donor list where he patiently awaited and prayed his turn would come.  But his cancer diagnosis took him off that list.  He continued on dialysis knowing one day his time would be up.  He somehow perservered and with a smile on his face.   This past year, a simple toenail infection led to the unthinkable.  Due to complicatons from his diabetes, our father had to have his leg amputated.  With the same positive determination that he faced every uphill battle with, he got through even that, and with high spirits.  All he wanted to do was get back home to his family, for he loved us more than anything and would do anything to make sure we had smiles on our faces.  He was so very young at heart, always the life of the party, and one of the best jokesters ever.  His presence in all of our lives will be hugely missed.  Our father and mother have been together since they were teenagers and were each other's first loves.  They got married and started their family very young and were together ever since.  Life was always a struggle for them in one way or another, and even more so as the years went on with all of my father's health problems.  Because he had to battle one illness after another, he was not able to work.  Our mother also had to stop working to be by his side every step of the way.  The medical bills piled in, and their stresses grew exponentially.  Stresses from worrying if my dad was going to make it through, to worrying how they were going to pay for it all if he did.  Any little shred of peace or happiness was always followed by challenge and heartache.  Every happy trip out of the hospital was always followed by an ambulance trip right back in.  Sadly, this last trip back was his last indeed.  His body could not fight any longer, and at 62, our dear father's journey has finally come to a tearful close.  We never thought he would have to leave us so soon and we cannot imagine having to go on without him.   We pray that he will now finally be at peace and know his love will never be forgotten.  So we are genuinely asking all of our family and friends to help and donate anything they can to help my family put our father to rest.  Our mother has been through so much, and now she has to not only endure the loss of her husband, but the financial burden of all the funeral and medical expenses as well.  Our father is now in heaven, but I know that when he looks down and sees everyone from there and how many people loved him, that he would be so thankful and proud to have such caring and loving people in his life.  Our family sincerely thanks you in advance for your donations, prayers and most of all LOVE ❤️
