Help put my father Joseph Mendiola to rest

My father Joseph Mendiola had sadly passed away due to a heart attack in his sleep after having open heart and lung surgery at Dignity Health Bakersfield Hospital on March 15th 2024. Words cannot describe how beautiful of a soul my father was, he was the most selfless person you’d ever know. My dad was medically sick and in and out of the hospital for almost my whole life, but he always fought to stay alive and to not give up for the people he loved. And I couldn’t be anymore greatful with the time I did have with him. His dream was always to be in the military, but unfortunately he was to sick to join , so that’s why I’m here today as a active duty soldier so I can have real dog tags that have our last name on them. But the army could only help so much with the cost of me coming home from South Korea and how much im approved for a loan for a funeral. I was told that I may only get a 2k loan for a funeral but that’s not obviously going to be enough. So please help me and my family put my dad to rest with a beautiful funeral he deserves. I know he didn’t talk to much people, but that was because ashamed of how sick he was to talk to anyone. But I try to remind him of how proud I am of him for being so strong for his son Christian , his sister Sapphire , his step father Albert, his mother Kathie and I. We didn’t have much but my dad always knew exactly how to make me feel like I had the world. So please, anything would help. I love and appreciate our family and friends and funeral updates will be posted after I find out how much we can afford. God bless❤️
