Help Quarry Through Post-Surgery Transition

Hi, my name is Quarry and I’m fundraising for post bottom surgery financial support. I identify as trans-feminine and use she/they pronouns.

On July 30th, 2024 I will be getting bottom surgery in Dallas, TX. I’m flying from New Orleans, La with my sister or a close friend. After the surgery I will remain in the hospital for 5 days. After that I will be staying in a hotel for 3 days before my post surgery follow up. Then we will fly back to New Orleans where I will recover at home.

My surgeon has strongly recommended a 3 month rest period without working on my feet or heavy lifting. I co-own a small restaurant so my work involves both those things. I can’t see myself staying out of the kitchen for that long so we’ve settled on 2 months out of the kitchen.

During this time I will not be working or receiving a paycheck. I am seeking funds for rent, travel, hotel stay, food, utilities, and dog care for my boy Willem.

I am so excited! I am using this time and energy to get outside and move my body as much as possible before my long post surgery recovery. I am saving as much as I can, but I’m asking for your help. …which is oddly much scarier to me than the actual surgery. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated!
