Help Queen City Ishaare Compete!

Hello! We are Queen City Ishaare, University of North Carolina at Charlotte's premier Bollywood fusion dance team! This academic year, we have been given opportunities to compete in multiple competitions starting in February! We are incredibly grateful and feel lucky that we have been given these amazing opportunities. Since the beginning of the year, our team has been putting in an immense amount of work to prepare for these competitions while also handling other responsibilities.

Even though we are a part of UNC Charlotte, we do not get any funding from them, and have to earn our profits all by ourselves. Previously, we have travelled to New Jersey, Maryland, and even New York where we placed 2nd at our competition! Having to travel to such far places, we have to take into consideration the registration, hotel, and travel costs.

Our team hosts numerous fundraisers to help such as a henna and lassi event, bake sale, daretober, pie face, etc. While these events have helped us incredibly, considering the costs of many things such as costumes, props, etc, we still do not have enough funding.
