QUINN STRONG!
Please help us as we partner again with the St. George Island, Florida community to create a magical, dream-come-true holiday for 4-year-old Quinn, who will be spending Christmas on St. George Island with her family!
On Christmas Eve 2021, Quinn was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, craniopharyngioma, for which there is no known cure. Quinn receives care from St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and has bravely undergone general anesthesia 60+ times, 20+ MRIs,15+ CT Scans, over 30 radiation treatments, and 1 cranial surgery with placement of 1 plate and 4 screws. Quinn's rare condition puts pressure on vital areas of her brain. This tumor has left Quinn legally blind in her peripheral vision.
Because there is no cure for Quinn’s disease, each day is a blessing.
Quinn is a precious child with a loving family, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. She is an adventurous, free-spirited girl. She loves the outdoors, swimming, building sandcastles, painting, and loving on her big brother. Quinn’s greatest wish is to have a “pond” and to build sandcastles decorated with seashells. Please help us make her wish come true!
We are raising money through this GoFundMe campaign so that we can give this special family from Stockbridge, Wisconsin an incredible experience on St. George Island with all expenses paid during their 10-night visit, including airfare for 14 family members, gift certificates purchased from St. George Island restaurants and activities, groceries, a llama visit, a dolphin cruise, family photos, Christmas gifts for Quinn and her brother Nixon, a visit from Santa Claus, and much more! Dan the Sandman of Miramar Beach will be here on Dec 21st to build Quinn's dream sandcastles, and we are going to provide a fully decorated Christmas tree and other holiday decorations, and a special catered holiday meal. We welcome any and all ideas to make this a stress-free, happy blessing for this family!
The Owners of Solitude SGI have donated their beachfront house for Christmas Week and are happy to welcome Quinn’s family. Many of you will recall that St. George Island opened our homes and hearts when we hosted Izzy, another amazing child, back in 2019.
Please help us help this wonderful family escape the Wisconsin cold and enjoy an amazing stay on St. George Island. We know that the big-hearted people of the Forgotten Coast will step up and make this little girl’s wishes come true and, through generosity and prayers, help create memories for this family that will last a lifetime.
Any donation, large or small, will be greatly appreciated. Perhaps you have an idea for something special that we can do for Quinn and her family while they are on St. George Island. Please reach out to Nicki West at SolitudeSGI.com or message us on SolitudeSGI Facebook page.
