My Dear Friends:
Please watch the "Outcry"documentary on Showtime and I am sure you will be as horrified as I am at the injustice that happened to Greg Kelley at the hands of the Cedar Park, Texas justice system. From the the gross negligence of police and investigators to a DA's office focused on conviction, led to the wrongful incarceration in 2014 of an innocent 18 year old senior in high school which spent 3 years of a 25 year sentence in prison until a public uprising and a NEW District Attorney brought justice to have him fully exonerated. Greg's battle cry has always been " My story, His Glory".
The purpose of this Fundraiser is to help raise funds to show financial support for Greg's family that incurred a financial hardship during his wrongful conviction and right some of the wrong that was done. His devoted mother Rosa had to sell their family home to pay for his first ineffective attorney. His father passed away before learning of Greg's exoneration. The promising football star lost 5 years of his life waiting to be fully freed of his wrongful conviction, always maintaining his innocence! And there is still no justice for the young victim, which is equally tragic. I can not imagine the agony this family has endured.
Although he has filed suit against the police department and the main investigator, there has been no monetary retribution by Cedar Park made to Greg. For more information go to Showtime "Outcry" to see the full story. There are also many articles you can google and YouTube clips to view. I have spoken and FaceTimed with Greg personally and I assure you he could be any of our children. ANY amount you donate is not too small and Bless you for caring for someone you don't know.
Good luck to Greg and his precious wife Gaebri! Greg is attending The University of Texas and is hoping to play football for them this fall!
