Help Rachel Robb Kondrath & Chris Hill After Eaton Fire Loss
Donation protected
My dear friends Rachel Robb Kondrath and Chris Hill tragically lost their home in the devastating Los Angeles Eaton wildfire on Jan 8, 2024. I'm raising money to help them through this very challenging time. Rachel and Chris had recently returned from their honeymoon when the fire destroyed their home. Any donation amount will help support Rachel and Chris recover and contribute to a vibrant future for their beloved Altadena community. These funds will assist with needs that are not covered by other sources of aid. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post helps just as much! Thank you for all your support!
More about Rachel and Chris:
Rachel Robb Kondrath is a film and television production designer, art director, and graphic designer with the Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800, where she volunteers in leadership helping create policy to protect and educate workers. She also teaches world-building and other design skills to the next generation of film students at UCLA, and lost all of her teaching reference materials and work supplies in the fire. During the aftermath of the recent film industry strikes, Rachel has been volunteering in her Altadena & Pasadena communities, supporting the local libraries, volunteering at The Huntington Gardens, and getting certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.
Chris Hill is a brainiac tech guy working in cloud service infrastructure. He specializes in the Japanese sword art of Shinkendo and is working toward expanding this martial art into his Altadena community. He lost all of his training equipment to the fire. Chris commits to helping friends and neighbors by donating his car repair and electronics repair skills – and he’s lost all of his tools. He’s also an independent comic book author who lost in the fire hundreds of fresh prints of his newest book. You can support his next independent graphic novel project, The Bubble Gumshoes, a story about two hard-boiled middle-school detectives, by clicking here.
Rachel and Chris spent three and a half years looking for their dream home, and fell in love with their cozy space in Altadena, where they quickly grew into the local community, including garden volunteering, arts programming, and civic organizing.
If you want to share an uplifting note of celebration for their wedding, you can leave a public or private comment, photo, or video in their digital wedding guestbook by clicking here.
