Help Rachel Get Life-Saving Brain Surgery | #HelpSaveRachel
My name is Rebecca, and I am reaching out to you in a time of desperate need. My older sister, Rachel (Cieply) Peters, is facing a life-threatening challenge: a rare brain tumor that requires immediate surgery to save her life. Your generous contributions towards our $250,000 fundraising goal will all go directly towards her life-saving surgery, mounting medical expenses, and recovery treatments. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference.
Please let me share with you a little about my sister, Rachel.
Even from an early age growing up in Valparaiso Indiana, Rachel has displayed immense compassion for helping others. She transformed that compassion into a career in nursing, relocating to Coeur d’Alene Idaho, and has passionately dedicated her 10-year nursing career to serving the most vulnerable populations; In the Neonatal ICU and Pediatric Cardiology centers, she saved countless newborns and profoundly impacted hundreds of families with her exceptional care and compassion. Rachel’s commitment to helping people extends well-beyond paid work, as she has volunteered on two humanitarian missions to Uganda, providing essential and life-saving care to hundreds of underprivileged villagers who lacked access to medical treatments. Her unwavering commitment to making a difference has brought hope and healing to those in desperate need.
However, this brain tumor has tragically altered the course of her life. Now, she needs our support to continue being the amazing person she is. Despite her health challenges (dating back four years), Rachel remains unwavering in her dedication to her husband of 10 years, Tyrell, and their 3-year-old son, Russell. Over the past year alone, she has attended over 100 medical appointments, demonstrating her incredible strength and resilience.
Lord willing, Rachel’s surgery will take place the second week of March. Her husband, Tyrell, will be taking time off of work to accompany her from their home in Coeur-d’Alene Idaho, to Lexington, South Carolina, for the procedure and recovery. During this period, their son Russell and their two beloved dogs will need to be cared for, ensuring that Rachel and Tyrell can focus entirely on her health and healing.
Rachel has health insurance, but there are many expenses that aren’t covered. including travel, hotels, childcare, lost wages, aftercare treatments, uncovered medical needs, and more.
Please share this campaign and keep Rachel in your thoughts and prayers. We specifically ask that you pray that nothing would happen between now and our surgery date.

We thank God for your kindness and generosity.
