Aloha everyone,
I am organizing this fundraiser for my mom, Helen Blas.
My mom lost my dad in 2016 and since then has been the sole provider for the family. She is very hard working and has been working full-time as a custodian at Chaminade University. She also cares for her son, who is autistic. While trying to provide for her mother and father, who also lives with her.
In May, during work, she was experiencing pain in her hip. Medical results indicated that she had multiple mass on her hip bones after an MRI scan. Further evaluation diagnosed her with stage 4 breast cancer. Due to the tumors on her hip, that made it very difficult for her to walk, so she had to stop working. June 30th, 2022 we then got the unfortunate news that her cancer had spread. Now she has masses on her left leg, right shoulder, spine, and her skull.
Her medical insurance does not cover her entire medical expenses. Because she is on TDI her meager income is not sufficient to cover their rent, food and everyday expenses. I have decided to make this GoFundMe account to help my mom and family with the financial burden of medical bills and everyday expenses. She is currently 2 months behind on her rent and badly needs a medical bed to sleep comfortably. We humbly ask for financial help and any assistance will be significantly appreciated.
