Help raise funds for Kevin DeWitt’s surgery

Kevin DeWitt is in need of our help. Here's a bit more in-depth information about his condition. On 3/31/2021 Kevin took himself to the emergency room. He had been experiencing shortness of breath the week prior. That particular morning his feet and ankles had swelled up. He actually thought he had pneumonia.

On 4/7/21 Kevin had open heart surgery. A major contributing factor in his heart health was a birth defect in his heart. Kevin’s aortic valve had only 2 flaps, a normal valve has 3. This led to his upper aorta becoming enlarged. The surgery replaced his aortic valve as well as the upper aorta. It went well and after an additional week in the Hospital, Kevin is home continuing his recovery.

Medically he is still not out of the woods. His heart became extremely weak while working overtime to compensate for the defective valve. If his heart health does not improve in the next 2-3 months, the doctors will need to implant a pace maker. They are hoping it doesn’t come to that, but only time will tell.

Kevin is determined to get back to full strength. If you know him at all, he’s probably showed you pictures of his modeling days. Kevin knows how to be fit and healthy. He recently booked a starring role in a feature film. It begins shooting this summer. The movie along with this scare will jump start a new beginning for Kevin.

So as you can tell, Kevin needs our help. He unfortunately does not have health insurance, and was placed on Medi-Cal in order to have the surgery. If you could find it in your heart to make a donation of any size, it will go a long way to getting him healthy, happy and back to acting/working!!
