I'm Elayne D. a 33-year-old Navajo woman and pharmacy technician living in Southern Arizona. I'm reaching out in a moment of urgent need. Two weeks ago, my car's transmission failed, leaving me without reliable transportation in the brutal Arizona heat. Last summer, I took out a $3,000 auto repair loan, which has now doubled despite my consistent payments. This financial burden is crushing me.

I depend on my car not just for work, but for my very livelihood. The pharmacy where I work isn’t on public transportation routes, and without my vehicle, I risk losing my job and my housing. The high costs of ride shares and limited options are pushing me to a breaking point.
