Help raise money for Cheyennes "new heart"

Hi my name is Madison Bowman. My little sister Cheyenne Bowman is such a light in this world. Everyone that she runs into becomes her friend. Cheyenne may look a little different on the outside to some individuals but she is no different at all. She has so much love in her heart for everyone. We were told at the beginning of summer 2021 that Cheyenne would need to have a heart surgery to replace her mitral valve. We waited and waited and the doctor decided to wait because it didnt seem as bad as he thought. In January 2022, Cheyenne was admitted to the hospital to have a heart cath done. After having the cath done the doctors realized it was much worse than expected. Cheyenne has had 5 previous heart surgeries before therefore there is a lot of scar tissue. The surgeon is scared that there is too much scar tissue to go through with the valve replacement surgery. We were told that with that much scar tissue once the remove the old valve they will have no way to attach the new valve and we would lose her immediately. Since they cant do the valve replacement surgery, she will need a heart transplant. We were told that we would have to find a hospital close enough that would not only do the heart transplant but would also operate on individuals with down syndrome. If she were not to get a heart transplant then she would just live her life as long as she can. Cheyenne made it clear to the family that she wanted a "new heart". We are talking to her doctors and trying to get her started on the transplant list. We are unsure if her health insurance will fully cover the transplant but that is something we are looking into. The money raised here will go towards expenses such as gas and food for those that will be staying with her during the time of her surgery plus the recovery time. The money will also help our parents to be able to pay their bills if they need to take off of work and wouldnt get paid for it. If you cant support by donating then please just say a prayer.
