Help Raise Money For RSDSA Young Adult Weekends
Tax deductible
We need your help raising money for RSDSA's Young Adult Weekend Retreat for those between the approximate age of 21-31 with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Your contribution will allow these retreats to continue. Every little bit helps. Your contribution will make an impact whether you donate $5.00 or $500.00.
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is a rare neuro-inflammatory syndrome that is the most painful condition on the McGil Pain Scale. It is characterized by intense chronic pain, swelling, trophic changes, vascular changes, and functional impairment.
The Young Adult Weekend Retreat's mission is to provide young adults with CRPS the opportunity to network, attend workshops, learn to advocate for themselves, and build a support system of peers. All while still having time to sight see and have unique experiences together. The retreat is four days and takes place in various cities around the United States.
I have been lucky to attend a few retreats in the past. They are truly a special time that allowed all of the attendees a chance to get together with peers who truly understand what each other is dealing with. We still stay in touch with each other. We provide support, encouragement, and advise when needed.
The activities and discussions during the retreat have helped me to be able to completely accept the CRPS diagnosis and am now owning it. The discussions centered around advocacy have greatly helped me to be able to verbalize what I need and not to be ashamed or afraid. It was very empowering.
