Dear Friends and Families,
On Sept. 28 Hurricane Ian hit Fort Myers at 2:45pm and the Marcos Cardona Family saw their 7 year home be taken away from this horrific disaster in a blink of an eye. Mercedes is a Guatemala Native that came to Florida to live the American dream. She has 4 boys, a 3month old, a 6 year old, 11 year old and a 12 year old. At at about 2:50 Merceds had no other choice but to evacuate her home with her four boys and headed to the neighbors, which was an apartment complex that had three stories. They had no other choice but to get to that third floor and wait for rescue because it was already too late to evacuate by utilizing the street in front of her and the side roads. She has lost everything including residential government IDs, pictures and all of the arts and crafts her kiddos have created for many years. Because She rented this home for seven years she never thought she would need renters insurance. Therefore she has lost everything and is in desperate need financially to provide again a stable home for her kids. She’s currently is living with a friends. Every little counts and will make a difference. Thank you for your compassion and the support.
The funds will be directly deposited into her account. As well, please know we have no personal tides. Just doing this out of the kindness of our heart. Let’s hope and pray that the sun keeps shining and it doesn’t rain. They need all of the dry weather they can get.
Thank you,
