Help raise money to house Ukrainian refugees!

Hi Everyone! My dad and mom (Bryan and Diane Haney) have paused their lives to fly over to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees. A small town called Boleslawow, a village of a little less than 200 people, is where they have been staying the last week and a half. They are working with a local Priest by the name of Krzysztof Kauf who has been tirelessly helping the people who have gotten out of Ukraine. He has also made many trips to the border to bring supplies, donations, and pick refugees up to bring them back to safety. My parents have seen the horrific effects that this war has caused through stories and very graphic pictures + videos that the American news is not able to show.

 

The donations that are needed are going towards housing up to 50 Ukrainian refugees. My parents met with a couple (Kaja and Lukas) who live in a small village nearby and own a house that needs to be refurbished in order to take in more refugees. With more Ukrainians coming into Poland daily, there is a huge need for housing. They need 30 mattresses, bedding, paint for the interior walls, remodel the kitchen and get furniture for the community room. They feel that they can accomplish this remodel in 2 weeks. The owners of the home were very reluctant to accept any financial help, and were going to take out a loan to complete this project. My parents have convinced them to accept help. This renovation is urgent so they can house more Ukrainian women and children who have no where to go. All additional funds will be donated towards food and basic necessities.

 

My dad and mom have witnessed incredible sacrifices from the Polish people who did not have much to begin with. They are housing the Ukrainian refugees, cooking all their meals, and supplying them with essentials. Many people living in Poland have put a pause on their own livelihoods to help the Ukrainian people.

 

Many people have expressed to me that they have had a desire to help/donate, but don't know where to give their funds. This is an incredible opportunity to provide shelter and food for these people who have been left with nothing. ALL donations will go DIRECTLY to the people.
