Help Raise Rent for McKenna!

**NEWEST UPDATE**

Hi everyone!

This is McKenna. Over the past 48 hours I have struggled to find the words to express my gratitude for every single one of you, and for my thoughtful roommates for putting this together.  It truly blows my mind how kind and supportive this community has been to me. THANK YOU!!! From the bottom of my heart I wish I could give all of you a hug in person.  I hope that one day each of you will be greeted with the same kindness during a difficult trial or tribulation in your life.  With that being said, I will most definitely be paying it forward as best I can!

If you were directed towards this page, I have asked my roommates to close the donation fund, as I now have more than enough to cover my rent this semester (Trinity Property Consultants would not let me out of my rent payments).  If you still feel so compassionately inclined to donate, I would love if you would instead direct donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Their pioneered research and improvements has made this type of cancer incredibly treatable and for that I am so grateful.  Here is the link:

If donating money is not in your budget, donating TIME is just as, if not more important!!  September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month as well as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and there are events going on around the country.  These days, it feels as if everyone has a family member, friend, or loved one affected by cancer.  If we each make an effort to support this cause, I have faith that we WILL find a cure.  I have reached out to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and there are amazing events out there that you can get involved in right now! Whether that is a walk/run (Light the Night Walk), participating in Dance Marathon or Relay for Life, volunteering at a cancer institute, or even creating your own team to help fundraise, there are easy ways to get involved :) So I encourage and CHALLENGE you to “Do Something” (as Willie Taggart would say).  Here are a couple links to help you out:

Thank you again and God bless all of you!!

xoxo,

McKenna Keith

Hello Everyone!

Our dear friend and teammate McKenna Keith was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  She is bravely fighting through chemotherapy and we just can’t wait to welcome her back to Florida State next semester after a successful recovery!

Unfortunately, even though she cannot live with us this semester, McKenna still has to pay rent each month (landlord won't let her out of her lease). On top of all of the medical costs she is already facing, we do not want rent and utilities to be an extra burden for her family. McKenna is undergoing chemo to fight her Hodgkin’s Lymphoma through December of this year. The Seminole family is behind her every step of the way as we anticipate her healthy return next semester.  We want McKenna to be able to come back and be able to live in her room in our apartment without any worry about violating or cancelling the lease.  Any amount helps, and we are so grateful for each and every positive thought and contribution.  We know McKenna is beyond thankful for all the support as well. Please don’t hesitate to contact any one of us for more information or updates!
