Help Ralphie Get Urgent Medical Care

Hi, my name is Arianna, I am Ralphie's older sister. I'm reaching out in hopes of getting my step mom, who lives overseas some financial support for my little brothers medical expenses. Frances ( my stepmom) , has exhausted all of her resources financially and could use some assistance.

Five years ago, when my brother was born he was diagnosed with bilateral hydronephrosis with re-flux in both kidneys. His left kidney is Grade 4 and his right is Grade 3. Essentially this means that both of his kidneys are severely swollen four times the normal size on the left and 3 times normal size on right. The re-flux causes a back-flow of urine from his bladder back to his kidneys, putting him at a severe constant risk of infection and at a higher risk of needing surgery.

Since his condition is considered pre- existing , no insurance would cover the expensive treatment, specialist, or diagnostic tests Ralphie has needed. For years my step-mom has had to pay everything out of pocket in the Philippines for any medical care he has had to receive.

Recently, My little brother's health has taken a turn for the worst. He's constantly sick, in and out of the children's Emergency Room and now has his white blood cell count count coming back alarming high. Doctors are now recommending that the next step we should take is Ralphie receiving a bone marrow test to check for possible cancer. After much time , Frances has found a insurance plan that with cover Ralphie for his condition , but they are requiring at-least a $4,000 upfront payment just for a year of coverage that will come with more expenses down the road.

Ralphie has been fighting this disease for five years now , not being able to live like a normal child for the first 5 years of his life. My step-mom hasn't had a break between his disease and the constant infections that come with it. That is why we are turning to you all for help with Ralphie and to help give him at fighting chance.
