Help Ramiro aka Trey Garcia to KICK CANCER’S BUTT!

This is my nephew Ramiro Garcia III but I call him Trey. He is this crazy- smart, fun loving, humorous 17-year-old who has a passion for football. He loves watching football with his family as much as he loves playing for his high school football team. He is the youngest of 5 siblings and a grandson, nephew, cousin and most of all an uncle. When he graduates he wants to go into the medical field like his father who served as a combat medic in the army for 4 deployments.
At the end of July, Trey started complaining of stomach pain. His parents took him to the doctor and he was diagnosed with low iron and sent home with iron supplements but they did not address the stomach pain. His parents took him to numerous doctors who offered no help for his stomach pain. Three days after their last attempt at the E.R. for medical attention they found their son in extreme pain with pale face and hands and to weak to stand. It was at this time that his parents drove him to the nearest military hospital. The first thing the team of doctors did was order a blood transfusion. Then they started running numerous test to figure out his abdominal pain and what was causing it. After a few days the doctors had an answer. Unfortunately, it’s the one that no parent wants to hear... Cancer. T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. There is a mass on his small intestine that is causing the pain in his abdomen and the PET Scan found another mass in his shoulder. This type of cancer is rarely found on the small intestine. The treatment plan will include intensive chemo therapy to shrink the tumors. The duration of treatment is going to take at least two years.
I’m setting up this GoFundMe page because after speaking with doctors and a long conversation with Trey, his parents decided it would be best for Trey to be near his treatment facility in order to cover all medical needs. His father is retired military and so that helps with some medical expense, but not all. At least one parent will need to travel back and forth to their home town for work, which is 4 hours away.
Please give if you are able in these trying times. If not please, please keep him in your prayers and share this post. Your help will allow Trey and his parents to stay close to his doctors and allow Trey to focus on his high school classes(online only) and most of all focus on KICKING CANCERS BUTT!
