Help Ramiz and his family survive the war

Dear Friends,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in saving the lives of my cousin Ramiz and his family, who are enduring unimaginable hardships in Gaza.

**Their Story**

Ramiz and his family lived peacefully in the north of Gaza until the war changed their lives forever. On October 7, they were forced to evacuate their neighborhood. Seeking refuge, they moved to his father-in-law’s apartment, but just two days later, another evacuation order came. As they were fleeing, a rocket struck the building. Ramiz was injured, and tragically, his eldest son was lost in the attack, still buried under the rubble since October 9, 2023.

Since that devastating day, Ramiz, his wife, and their three children have known nothing but fear and suffering. They have been forced to move from place to place, ending up in a tent that they’ve had to relocate multiple times due to ongoing military orders.

**The Struggles They Face**

Ramiz’s remaining oldest son, who is disabled, cannot work because of his limited movements due to an illness in his feet and legs. Ramiz himself has had heart attacks a few years ago, making it impossible for him to handle any hard work. Being the only one who can work, the responsibility of providing for his wife and three children adds an overwhelming weight to his mental well-being. This burden is made even heavier by the lack of money and income, in a place where everything is missing and prices have skyrocketed to more than seven times their actual cost.

With zero income, no savings, and no external financial support, Ramiz’s family is struggling to survive. Essentials like food, water, and medicine are scarce and increasingly expensive in Gaza. My recent conversation with Ramiz left me heartbroken—he didn’t even have a dollar to his name for three days. They have lost their home and all their belongings, and are truly living through the worst days of their lives—having lost their oldest son, their house, and now fleeing from one tent to another, constantly facing death.

Adding to their difficulties, one of Ramiz’s children has special needs and requires ongoing medical care. The weight of these responsibilities is immense, especially in such dire circumstances.

**Why Your Help Is Needed**

I am starting this campaign because I believe that helping Ramiz’s family now could save their lives. The funds raised will provide them with the essentials they desperately need to survive this war—food, water, shelter, and medical care. Additionally, the money will help them rebuild their lives once the conflict ends, giving them a chance to find a permanent home and reestablish some sense of normalcy.

Our goal is to raise $70,000. This amount will go directly to Ramiz and his family, ensuring they have the support they need during this incredibly difficult time.
