Help A Nurse Get Back To Helping Others.

Hello,
My name is Randall Lavender II and I have a rare form of Eagle's Syndrome which affects both the jugular veins and carotid arteries. This effects me on both sides and has greatly impacted my life in a negative way. I am fighting to get my life back.
I have not been able to work in over 8 years. The styloid processes in my neck directly constrict the blood flow going in and out of my brain. I live a life in between life and death and have existed this way for years. I have not been on disability in the meantime as my condition is rare and rejected in many parts of the medical community. I was a nurse before this condition halted my ability to work. I always advocated for my patients and their family members when they needed my help. I would love to be able to get back to work as well as further my education so that I can help others with Eagle's Syndrome.
My surgeon is Dr. Ryan Osborne in Los Angeles and he is a great surgeon who I know will provide me an opportunity to get my life back. I trust him and his team. My insurance only covers half of the surgery which is $67500 for both sides of my neck. If I can get this surgery and function normally again, I will dedicate the rest of my life in clinical practice by going back to school to become a nurse practitioner and help others with these rare conditions get the diagnosis and imaging they need to move forward with care. This is very personal for me and I thank everyone reading this for their help and advocacy for those with this condition.
