Help Randi Nedli with medical expenses
Update Wednesday March 24th:
Randi had another surgery on Wednesday 3/24. The doctor cleaned out his neck and chest of infected tissue again. The infection hasn't spread further than where it was, but it is not better either. The plan is to repeat this procedure again on Friday or Saturday. Unfortunately, this means he must stay on the ventilator. Thank you to all who have been praying and have donated already! Your generosity is overwhelming. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts. This is a heavy burden but Randi is strong
Randi has been in the ICU, sedated and on a ventilator since Saturday March 20th. What as a bad sore throat has escalated very quickly into an infection that has spread to his eye, face, neck and chest. He was transferred from McKinney to Ft. Worth where he had emergency surgery to relieve the pressure on his optic nerve due to the infection as well as the infected tissue around his neck and lymph nodes. This surgery essentially saved his life as the infection was rapidly spreading. He has been on heavy antibiotics and waiting to see exactly what the bacteria is that is causing all this. He will have another surgery on Wednesday so the doctors can flush more of the infection around his neck. He will have to stay on the ventilator until all of his possible surgeries are done. (Thank God there is an ICU bed and ventilator for him!). The ICU nurses and Doctors have been complete ROCKSTARS and are doing everything they can to keep Randi comfortable and on the road to recovery! He isn't out of the woods yet so if you pray, please do. Send all the positive healing thoughts his way.
If you know Randi, you know he is a proud and an extremely hard working guy. He can party like the rest but he will always show up and get the job done. He is the loyalist of friends and would give his last dollar to someone he loved. He also would never ask for help, but he is going to need it as he gets better. He does have health insurance, but this is going to be a very expensive stay in the hospital, plus any care after he gets out. So we are asking for your help on his behalf. If you can spare a couple dollars, it will go a long way. Thank you for your prayers and generosity
