Help Randy receive Maria's Life-Saving Kidney

Hi friends and family,

I, Kylie am starting this fundraiser for a wonderful man who is my father-in-law and Kahlia's grandpa who has been patiently awaiting a kidney transplant from his beautiful wife Maria. Through ample amounts of doctor appointments and hardships there has finally come a time where Randy can get to the last and final step in his process of receiving Maria's kidney.

Medical History: Randy has undergone multiple health complications such as heart attack that later required cardiac catheter procedures, placing a cardiac stent to prevent stokes, and installing a pacemaker prior to being accepted in receiving this major transplant surgery. The procedures, ins and outs of doctor appointments, as well as prolonged hospital stays were done in order to prepare Randy for strain the body may take when receiving a new kidney. The hardships leading up to this procedure help ensure the best possible outcome for his body to accept and heal when given this new organ.

A bit more information: Due to prolonged hypertension and hyperglycemia Randy was diagnosed with low kidney function which later progressed to chronic kidney failure. Randy has been going through peritoneal dialysis treatments to enhance his kidney function allowing the possibility of receiving a kidney transplant. His loving wife Maria learned the process of dialysis and how to use a continuous cycling peritoneal dialysis (CCPD) machine that allowed Randy to receive peritoneal dialysis from the comfort of their own home allowing the process to be more ideal as it can be very uncomfortable and take up many hours of the day. None of this would be possible however unless his wife Maria wasn't a perfect match for Randy that then allows her to donate one of her kidneys to him. It truly is a miracle.

With that being said both Maria and Randy will be going in for surgery in order to make this transplant possible. The money raised will be going for the cost of the initial copay for the transfer and transplant of Maria's kidney to Randy.
