Help Randy Recover from Devastating Accident
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Randy's girlfriend Rosemary Bahnsen.
March 28th, 2022 both Randy and I were passengers in a horrific fatal car accident - innocent passengers, on a ride home with friends, just like any other day - until a van pulled out in front of us on the highway.
Fortunately, I remained conscious and sat aside watching in disbelief, the terrors of this horrific accident unfold.
Randy was taken to Delta County Memorial Hospital and immediately Life Flighted to St.Marys Hospital (in Grand Junction) where he could receive more adequate care for the severity of his injuries. The driver's friend (William Tomer, AKA Dab Man) was also life flighted to St.Marys hospital, unfortunately he did not survive. The driver was life flighted to Denver and sustained many injuries similar, but not as severe as Randy's.
I was taken via ambulance to Montrose Hospital, and cleared with no injuries by the grace of God, walking out nearly 30 minutes after arrival.
Randy was in ICU for nearly a month, in a coma the entire time. His pelvis had shattered, more then half of his ribs were broken/fractured causing both lungs to collapse and fail, left metacarpal (hand) broken, and a blood clot in the left leg. His entire left side was broken and battered.
During the time he was in the hospital, I found myself homeless and lived in a daze. I was admitted and held in inpatient psychiatric care 3 separate times, pretty much back-to-back. Randy was released from the hospital in the care of his family who required him to live under their roof, though I wasn't even allowed to be with him at their home.. that didn't last long. Within a couple of days, at our house, I built a ramp for him, and renovated the guest house/shed, making it safe and comfortably liveable for Randy and I to stay while he recovered. Though, due to a family feud, the power was turned off and we were evicted from the property.
Randy and I ended up homeless, sleeping in our truck for the entire winter. We got a camper to call our home, that was parked on his family's property, and after some short time they would not allow us to stay on their property at all leaving us homeless living in our car, again.
Its been over two years since the accident and Randy is in the hospital again, with multiple pulmonary embolism in both of his lungs. The blood clot from the accident came back, and with a vengeance. He is on Oxygen and as of now we have no where for it to be delivered too once he's discharged. My family has offered to let us stay with them temporarily in Denver, 400 miles away. I'm asking for donations to help Randy have a successful recovery this time, hopefully without the extra stress of worrying about basic survival. Thank you and God bless.
