URGENT: Rawan's family in Gaza needs support in tragic loss

Donation protected
Rawan's family needs your support in this tragic loss in northern Gaza.

Hello, I am Rawan, an information technology engineering student in my third year at the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza, Palestine. Thank you really for taking the time to read my story. As you read my message, I and my family of 10 members: my father, my mother, my grandmother, my aunt, and my little sister, Soso, who does not exceed 4 years, and my sister, who was supposed to finish high school this year, and three brothers who were supposed to finish their universities and education, “we are fighting death in northern Gaza and trying to survive in light of all kinds of suffering, including destruction, fear, instability, and hunger, thirst and poverty."

For a year now, we have been struggling to get adequate food after prices rose 20 times, and we are struggling to get clean water to use and drink. We lacked security and stability as we had to vacate our home and leave everything behind. Then we had to move at least 30 times because every new area we took refuge in was bombed.

Before October 7, we lived happily among my families, each of us going to his university or school. My days were filled with attending lectures, working, and volunteering. I was going to complete my bachelor's degree in engineering with distinction

But since October 7, my life has been turned upside down, darkness has set in, and all hope and dreams have quickly vanished. Our once peaceful neighborhood was devastated by continuous bombing, destroying my home, my university and my life.

Even though there is nothing here but rubble and colorful ashes, and a dark and bleak future looms on the horizon, my family and I struggle every day holding on to a thin thread of hope that tomorrow might be better. That is why I decided to start this campaign and ask for your help and support to create hope for me and my family and save my little sister Soso away from this genocide that we have been exposed to for a year.

Your generous support and donation will help provide the basic needs needed for me and my family under these difficult circumstances. It will also give us hope that there is a better future waiting for us once the war stops, God willing. This will also help me complete my university and become a diligent engineer, designer, and programmer. It will also ensure that my sisters can complete their education, and Soso will go to kindergarten for the first time.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the caring donors who helped me on my journey of saving my family, my little sister Soso, and my grandmother. Your belief in the transformative power of completing my education and saving my family from this genocide is a beacon of inspiration, and your kindness is a gift that moves me forward.

Thank you for making a difference in my life. Your donation is a lifeline to us.
