Salaam, Hello,
My name is Yasmia from Antwerp, Belgium. I have been in contact with Rawan, Rayyan’s mother, for a few months now. Rayyan Toma and his family have been displaced multiple times since the genocide on Gaza has started.
A message from Rayyan’s mother:
Greetings
It's rawan
I live in gaza, sorry i mean i lived in gaza in khan younis when gaza was a safe and beautiful place to stay. Now we moved to rafah.
Iam a divorced woman, i have three kids and live with my family.
Due to the recent events here in gaza we suffer many harsh conditions, we barely call it life.
We are 21 members try to survive while we are allowed to.
We suffer the lack of manly everything, food, water, medicine, decent clothes, shoes, place to stay.
My niece even is a new born. She and her mother are struggling to survive due to the lack of basic care they need in such conditions.
I don't know what else we should suffer so people may get convinced that we are threatened to die or lose our beloved ones at any minute. If not from the constant bombing, from the diseases and germs because of the low hygiene everywhere.
We are about to lose our minds from the destruction around us. The pieces of the dead bodies, the stories we heard and live,
not to forget the psychological trauma that our kids suffering every single minute.
We've lost everything, homes mony, our lives.. the memories we had, the present and the future. We are lost and desperate.
We are speechless, and would appreciate the slightest amount of care and help.
We appeal all the humanity around the globe to stand with us, against such injustice we are suffering every day.
Other than all this, my sister, I am a separated woman with three children in my custody. I used to live in my parents’ house, the family home, and now that everything is gone, all of us, 21 people, live in one tent.
