Emergency case/cancer patient needs help and goes out to receive treatment

My name is Tawfiq Kalila. I am a friend of Hatem Al-Maghribi and I live in France. I am organizing this campaign and narrating the story of Umm Hatem with all sorrow and sadness.

The story of Umm Hatem is a heartbreaking one that highlights the struggles faced by cancer patients in conflict zones. Hatem Al-Maghrabi narrates the plight of his mother, a 64-year-old woman battling cancer amidst the turmoil of war.

Despite enduring multiple surgeries and treatments, their access to medical care has been severely limited due to the ongoing conflict. They have been displaced from their home, living in dire conditions in a tent within a school, relying on aid for survival. With the Rafah crossing closed and exorbitant bribes required to access treatment in Egypt, they are in desperate need of financial assistance.

Hatem appeals for help to cover the costs of travel, treatment, accommodation, and medical necessities, estimating a total of €15,000. He emphasizes the urgency of the situation, pleading for support to save his mother's life and restore her smile amid the devastation caused by war.

It's a poignant reminder of the human toll of conflict, where individuals like Umm Hatem are not only fighting against cancer but also struggling against the barriers imposed by war to access life-saving treatment.
