On April 7th, a tragic gas explosion tore through an apartment in Playas de Tijuana, leaving our dear friend Ray LaFave critically injured. The explosion occurred immediately after the local gas company turned on service, and Ray suffered severe full-body burns as a result.

Ray is now in the United States receiving intensive medical care, fighting for his life and enduring unimaginable pain. His injuries are extensive and life-altering — burns cover nearly 100% of his body and face. The road ahead will require multiple surgeries, long-term hospitalization, physical therapy, and emotional healing.

Ray has always been the kind of person who gives without asking for anything in return. His warmth, humor, and heart have touched countless lives. Now, he needs us more than ever.
