Help Ray Secure His Habitat for Humanity Home

Hello wonderful people,

My name is Ray and I am a master of the custodial arts in the Fauquier County Public School System in Virginia. I enjoy my job and interacting with the students every day, as well as doing my part to help with the facilities. I walk to the school every day for my shift, which prevents me from living too far away from the building.

After many years of poor housing and rental situations, I was recently blessed with approval for a Habitat For Humanity house close enough to the school that I can walk there. Being a part of the school system, they always say, "we do it for the outcome, not the income," and this is so very true. Being given this opportunity to have a residence so close is one I cannot let go, but unfortunately, due to those pay constraints, I cannot come up with the down payment for the H4H house.

After discussing my situation with a few of my teacher colleagues, they suggested I put up a GoFundMe page to ask for donations for my cause. I know it's not a lot to ask for, but liquid assets right now are hard to come by, and I am hoping you can help me realize my dream of staying and working in what I consider to be my hometown (I've been here for 40 years).
