Blue Hills Nursery Cat Milo Update!
Hooray!!! After much diligence and with the help of a great team, we were finally able to catch Milo. He will now be safe in the hands of an experienced handler before he goes to the Cat House On The Kings. In the process of catching Milo we caught two stray cats. Elvis and Blaze. We had them neutered, gave them their proper shots and a flea treatment. Our original plan was to release them but according to the vet these two have had extremely hard lives. Any profit over our Initial goal will go straight to giving Elvis & Blaze a chance to also go to the sanctuary. Thank you for your generosity! We will update you ASAP!
Want to help Milo get to a sanctuary
Milo has been with us for 7 years and has enjoyed his home at Blue Hills Nursery. Unfortunately, the nursery will close or relocate in June 2021 and the existing location will be torn down, resulting in Milo losing his home.
Milo is a feral cat and cannot be relocated or adopted into a home. Heartbroken but unaccepting of Milo’s potential fate, we’ve found a sanctuary for him! The Cat House on the Kings located in Central California, is a 12-acre, completely fenced, free roaming sanctuary for cats. We think Milo will be very happy there.
We are trying to raise $3500 to cover Milo’s lifetime fee at the Sanctuary, vet examination and transportation to the sanctuary.
If you would like to help, please see our Go-Fund me page, or feel free to donate in person.
A bit about the Sanctuary: The Cat House on the Kings is a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats. They care for over 700 unwanted cats and kittens. Individuals needing to surrender a cat pay a fee in change for lifetime care of the cat. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, each cat is given any necessary medical care, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. Cats are then placed in cottages where they can become acquainted with their surroundings. Once they are comfortable with their new digs, the cats are released onto the sanctuary grounds, and can roam about at will. The grounds are fully fenced and secure, and there is always plenty of food available.

Why Milo is so dear to us: We found Milo 7 years ago in an abandoned litter of kittens at the nursery. All the kittens were adopted, except for Milo. Milo just did not fit the mold of a house cat. He has been our mascot ever since, happily enjoying his life of freedom at Blue Hills Nursery. We aren’t about to let Milo down now!
