Help Rebecca Benson after her Stroke

Hi, my name is Rebekah and I’m raising funds for my dear friend Rebecca Benson who is needing financial assistance after suffering a stroke.

On May 2023, at just 38 years old, Rebecca suffered a stroke. She was paralyzed on her right side but has worked hard on her own to re-learn how to write and walk. She still can’t stand or walk for a long time without getting dizzy or falling down, which massively impacts her job as a waitress.

Since waitressing isn’t an option at this time (estimating 6 months until she can return), she is currently looking for work that can accommodate her new limitations, but hasn’t found anything yet. She has applied for disability, but it will take a while to be approved.

Her dog Liza had an expensive medical emergency just days before her stroke, and so that compounded with medical bills and no current income has dwindled her resources and she is struggling to make rent, pay her bills, and buy basic necessities.

Rebecca is one of those people that always has a positive outlook, and has managed to maintain that despite her situation. She is a go-getter and highly motivated, but is just finding herself overwhelmed because of these unexpected circumstances.
