Send Rebecca to represent Israel internationally!

Hi We are fundraising for Rebecca Mantel to compete internationally.

Rebecca is a professional Sailor from Israel, Sdot Yam Sailing Club, she sails the ILCA6 boat AKA "Laser" with a Radial Olympic sail and is aiming to get to the top in the world!

Rebecca is 15 years old & will turn 16 in March 2024.

Rebecca already won the U17 (under age 17) European cup championship in Garda Italy last year and has a number of international events coming this year.

The next event is the World Championship in Argentina in January 2024, following this competition is a competition in Greece on February and so on.

Normally we her parents & the Israeli sailing association cover the cost of the competitions. With the war going on in Israel and with our business in tourism coming to a total stand-still we are setting this GoFundMe to help Rebecca attend these competitions..

For example, the next competition in Argentina will cost 12,000 USD to attend including flights and all related expenses. We are trying to fundraise for a number of competitions that will take place this year, optimally Rebecca can sail at least on 4-5 different international events this year and acquire experience & hopefully get to stand on the podium!

אנחנו יוצאים לגיוס המונים לעזור לרבקא להתחרות בתחרויות בינלאומיות השנה.

רבקא שייטת צעירה ומבטיחה בת 15 (בקרוב 16) שמתחרה בסירת לייזר במפרש רדיאל במועדון וכבר זכתה בתחרות בינלאומית באיטליה בשנה שעברה במקום הראשון בגביע אירופה עד גיל 17 כשהיא מייצגת את מועדון השייט שדות ים ואת ישראל כמובן.

בד"כ אנו ההורים ביחד עם איגוד השייט מממנים את עלות התחרות. השנה בעקבות המלחמה והפסקת התיירות הנכנסת שהיא מקור פרנסתי ההוצאה הכבדה שביציאה לתחרות מביאה אותנו לפנות אל כל מי שמעוניין לסייע.

עלות נסיעה לתחרות כמו אליפות העולם בארגנטינה שמתחילה בעוד שבועיים תעלה באזור ה-40 אלף שקלים. יש הוצאות של טיסות, לינה, העברות ציוד ועוד ועוד.

רבקא כשייטת צעירה צריכה להתחרות בכמה שיותר תחרויות בינלאומיות על מנת לצבור כמה שיותר ניסיון ובתקוה גם להגיע הכי רחוק - לאוליפיאדה, ולהביא תארים והצלחה לעצמה למועדון ולמדינה
