Help Rebecca Heal & Afford Shelter

Hi everyone, I am coming to you all in need of help. A month ago my mom and I decided to try out van life so we could see New Mexico. We weren't planning on doing it for long, just until I could get approved to get us into a good apartment. We were previously staying at an extended stay, but prices have shot up 50% in the past few months, therefore removing it as an affordable alternative to an apartment. Four days ago my mom was hospitalized. Turns out she has Diverticulitis, an intestinal infection that causes ridiculous amounts of pain and discomfort. A night later, she developed hypoxia and stopped breathing in her sleep at one point. Her nose, mouth, and fingers turned purple and her oxygen levels dropped to around 50. She was rushed out of the hospital yesterday due to major staffing shortages and lots of COVID patients. We are now stranded here in Santa Fe without proper shelter (with the exception of our van) and are running low on funds. Unfortunately, in order for my mom to survive we have to have her on oxygen for the time being. Since she can't produce enough of it on her own, her organs are working over time which is generally pretty bad for her health. Can't sleep but constantly tired. Chronic headaches. Can barely walk. We have a few portable tanks, but they run out quickly. Our van doesn't generate enough electricity to power the oxygen machine they sent her away with. This has been so unexpected and completely heartbreaking. I am exhausted. I am asking for financial assistance in covering shelter, lost wages, and a mandatory change in diet. I love my mom more than anyone knows and would do anything for her. While I am employed, I don't make enough to support the both of us through this difficult time. Thank you for your consideration.
