Help Rebecca Pay for "The Academy"

Rebecca is high school student in 11th grade and a beloved and involved member of our community. She skillfully balances her schooling, her job, dual enrolled college classes, and various ministries that she volunteers in. While doing all this Rebecca has been working hard on the skills that she wants to use in her future with extracurriculars that include dance, singing, acting, and more. You will not encounter a more hard-working teenager.

In 2021 Rebecca saved every penny from her work and any other jobs she could pick up to pay for a program with The Broadway Collective called “Broadway’s Open”. This program seeks to show musical theatre students some of the skills and hard work needed to prepare for a career in musical theater. Rebecca participated in weeks of prep, and then flew out to New York for a weekend of in-person masterclasses.

Broadway’s Open helped Rebecca confirm that she wants to pursue a career in musical theatre.

After meeting and talking to people currently in the industry and learning about the hard work and preparation that is needed to even get into a musical theatre college program Rebecca registered for a program called The Academy.

The Academy is a 12-month program designed for Musical Theatre students who are determined to have a career on stage. This program will help Rebecca get into top-choice college programs and prepare for college prescreen auditions needed to get accepted. Musical Theater college programs have an average acceptance rate of 1% for high school seniors. This program is proven to work, 97% of Academy students pass their college prescreen auditions or got into their top-choice college program to study musical theater.

The cost of tuition to attend the Academy and travel to New York is around $10,000.

Rebecca is working very hard toward this future. Once again, she is saving every penny of her income, while balancing all the other areas of her life. As her community we want to come around Rebecca and her dreams and bless her with some funds to attend this program. Please join us in supporting her future!
