Hello,

My name is Nura, a Palestinian from Gaza. I am writing this after a lot of thought and hesitation, but the urgency to rescue my family is too great, and therefore I am desperately seeking support for my family in order to find a place where we can start a safe life.

Since the outbreak of war in Palestine, my father has been unable to return home to us. Two years ago, he was working outside the city when the conflict began, and the ongoing turmoil has prevented his return. His presence always provided us with a sense of security, but now, with him absent, that feeling has been replaced by uncertainty and fear.

His absence marked the beginning of a series of losses for our family. We not only lost our beloved home—a place he painstakingly built from the ground up—but we also lost our sense of stability. Our once sturdy two-story home crumbled as swiftly as our hopes and dreams.

Our beloved home, which was built from zero to two floors, has gone from two floors to zero.

For my siblings and me, who all pursued careers in engineering, the war brought an abrupt halt to our professional endeavors. Farha, Ahed, Nura, Farah, and Kamal, each with aspirations and goals found themselves grappling with job loss and the upheaval of their once-promising careers. Even Mariam, still in secondary school, and Heba, in primary school, have been impacted, with their education interrupted by the turmoil of war.

We were a self-reliant family, accustomed to taking care of ourselves without relying on others. However, the war's relentless grip has left us helpless and vulnerable. Now, we find ourselves living in a shelter, consumed by fear and uncertainty about what the future holds.

We long to rebuild our shattered lives, starting with our beautiful home. Our plea to you is simple: help us regain a sense of safety and security. Your support will not only provide us with a roof over our heads but also a renewed sense of hope and optimism for the future.

This is our story, though it feels incomplete amidst the chaos of war. But in this moment, all we ask for is a chance to escape the turmoil and find refuge in a place free from the ravages of conflict. Your generosity will make a world of difference to us, and for that, we will be forever grateful.
