Help Rebuild After Tragic Fire – Support a Father & His Twin
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and warmhearted strangers,
I am reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My father recently lost his home of 30+ years in the devastating Eaton Canyon fire that swept through Altadena, California. This was not just a house – it was a sanctuary, a place filled with memories, love, and a life he had worked so hard to build for himself as well as my siblings.
My father is diabetic and recently had his leg from amputated from knee down. The home was recently remodeled and redesigned to support handicapped living.
In the midst of dealing with his own adversity, everything was destroyed in an instant. The fire left nothing but ashes behind, and now my father and siblings are faced with the overwhelming challenge of starting over. They need to rebuild their lives from scratch.
As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him, as well as others that were affected but we can’t do this alone. No amount is too small – every dollar counts and will make a huge difference in helping him rebuild his life. If you’re unable to donate, we simply ask for your prayers, words of encouragement, and if you could share this campaign with your network to help spread the word.
We are launching this so that my father can take the first steps towards recovery. Donations will go toward:
• Securing temporary and eventually permanent housing for the family.
• Clothing, food, medication, and other basic necessities.
• Supporting the twins’ education and stability during this challenging time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can provide. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us.
With gratitude,
The children of David Long Sr.
Deon Geary, David Long Jr., Drew Long, and Dilynn Long.
