My name is Jeff Buschelmann, and I’m honored to serve as the Historian for Post 158. As an officer of the American Legion Post 158, backed by our Executive Board, I am reaching out to ask for your support.

Our cherished American Legion Post 158, a steadfast refuge for veterans and a vibrant gathering place for our Treasure Island community, has suffered devastating damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. These storms have left our historic post in disrepair, erasing decades of cherished memories and disrupting the vital support we provide to veterans and their families.

Thanks to early efforts, we are completing the removal of damaged materials, including the entire floor. Now, we are embarking on the next stage: working with a contractor to develop detailed reconstruction plans, securing city approval, and navigating all permit requirements. This crucial step will lay the foundation for rebuilding Post 158 stronger than ever.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward restoring our facilities.
