Bitaogan is dear to us. My dad when he was living considered this his second home. This is home away from the bustling and noisy city. Bitaogan is a small fishing village located in the southern tip of the municipality of Bato in the island-province of Catanduanes. This tiny fishing village faces the Pacific
Ocean. It was once a thriving, vibrant fishing village of 47 households. Typhoon Rolly (International name- Goni), a category 5 typhoon with sustained winds and gustiness of 315 kph (195 mph) crushed and devastated the place. But the spirit, faith and hope of the people in the place are simply irrepressible. Its inhabitants like all the people of Catanduanes are resilient and unyielding. We appeal to your kind hearts to make this tiny fishing village in the Philippines stand and rise again. Together let us help rebuild their lives, hopes and dreams. The funds raised will be used to buy food and building materials to help the people start build their homes and fishing vessels. Thank you very much for your generosity.
