Help Blinking Owl Books Recover & Rebuild!

On the eve of their one year anniversary, Blinking Owl Books took on 3 feet of storm surge during Hurricane Helene.

This flooding destroyed a portion of their books, yarn, and sidelines while also waterlogging every single bookshelf in the shop. In addition to these losses, the space needs to be partially gutted and rebuilt.

Until then (and for the foreseeable future), Blinking Owl Books will be displaced and without revenue.

Over the last year, Lucy has poured her heart and soul into serving Fort Myers, Florida as an independent bookstore. She’s dedicated herself to creating an inclusive, welcoming space filled not only with excellent books, but with a community brought together by a shared love of stories.
