Help Elvira & Bill Get Back On Their Feet
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Hector, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping my aunt and uncle, Elvira and Bill, rebuild their lives after a devastating loss. On the morning of Wednesday, January 8th, their home was destroyed in the Eaton Canyon fire. Thankfully, they were able to evacuate the night before with just a car full of belongings. Unfortunately, everything else they had—years of memories, personal possessions, and their home—was lost to the flames.
Bill and Elvira have been married for 54 years and have lived in this home for 50 years. It was their first and only house together, and it’s where they’ve built a lifetime of memories. Now, in their retirement years, they’re facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding from scratch.
We understand that many people have been affected by this disaster, and we don’t want to make it seem as though Bill and Elvira’s loss is more significant than anyone else’s. That said, any help, no matter the amount, will go a long way in helping them cover the costs of temporary housing, relocation, and the essential items they need to start rebuilding their lives.
The funds raised will provide some stability during this difficult time and ease the burden of the immediate needs they’re facing. Thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your support in helping us care for Bill and Elvira, as well as so many others who are affected by this tragedy.
Update:
01/12/2025
Bill and Elvira have not been able to go back to see their home since Wednesday. National guard has been posted on all residential streets and not allowing anyone to travel north of New York Dr.
They have been able to stay with my mother, Elvira’s sister, for the time being until they are able to find/setup temporary housing.
I like to thank everyone who has contributed to my aunt and uncle thus far.
