Help Rebuild Black-Owned Behavioral Health Clinic

Metro Behavioral Health is located at 2700 E. Lake Street in South Minneapolis. Our office was completely burned and destroyed on 05/29/2020 following the unfortunate murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis Police Officer. Metro Behavioral Health would like to extend their condolences to the Floyd family and to all those affected by this tragedy. We have been serving  South Minneapolis for more than 10 years and will continue to provide support to a community that is navigating through a difficult time. The events that have perspired have been traumatic and we've seen a community experience loss and anger as a consequence. Our offices served as a safe space for individuals in the community to receive services we provide.  Although our office is gone, we are still here. We will continue to provide support to a community who needs us now more then ever. Offices can be replaced but lives cannot. We hope that with your support we can rebuild a safe space and continue to provide vital mental health services to our communities.

Metro Behavioral Health was founded in 2010 to provide professional mental health services to low-income, minority and immigrant community members in Minnesota. We are the first and largest culturally specific behavioral health provider owned by African immigrants in the State of Minnesota. We are committed to provide meaningful access to mental health services in order close the gap in the service delivery system. The majority of our clients are from minority, low income, immigrants and refugee groups. Most of our providers, including licensed professionals, are bilingual (Arabic, Swahili, Oromo, Amharic, Vietnamese, Somali and English speakers).
